Hey everyone from Beautiful València!!! So as I wrote I got
transferred to the South part of the mission, Valencia is a big city
on the coast 200 miles south of Barcelona! The people are AMAZING
here, everyone talks to us and are just generally nice. I finally
don't feel like everyone hates me for being a missionary hahaha....but
seriously it's amazing here. It is very warm and there are a ton of
African people here! But this week has just flown by!!
To start off the week Elder Gonzalez and I spent a lot of time on the
streets talking to people, but contacting is super fun here! So on our
first day we went passing by old investigators and knocked the door of
someone, and a Bolivian teenager boy answers the door(PS he looks like
a darker version of Andy haha) and he lets us in, and we teach him and
his Sister the restoration, and we invited them to be baptized and
they said, YES! Wooooooo, so we'll be going back this next week to see
if they read and how they feel!
We've been able to teach a TON this past week and I've never found
this amount of new investigators in my mission! This past we found 25
new investigators and taught close to 45 lessons to investigators!!
Élder Gonzalez and I are working hard.
Also to tell you all about my new companion, he is from Lima, Peru but
speaks perfect English because he learned English when he was little.
I would say he speaks better English than I do sometimes hahaha! He's
25 years old and was baptized 2 years ago and has been in the mission
3 more months than I have (PS I'm not going to mention how much time I
have in the mission anymore haha), but he left for the mission on the
1 year mark of his baptism, so he's a really great man!
So I'm really enjoying it down here in Valencia, even though it is
going to get BURNING HOT it'll be amazing. Everyone in the mission
refers to the Valencia Zone as the "Promised Land" so it's really
great! Hope all is well and have a great week!!
Con mucho calor,
-Élder Miller
