Howdy y'all! ¿Cómo están? Congratulations Amy on Winning Mother of the
Year for the State of Nevada!! That's sooo exciting! I can't believe
Brendon is also coming back from his mission too already....I give him
5 months before he's engaged hahaha
Well things are going well out here in Barcelona 3B!! We had a really
good week and found 10 new investigators! Also I'm approaching my last
week in Barcelona and I'm very sad to think about leaving my first
area, but it's okay.
This ward has been very good to me and I've learned a ton here, and
will forever have a special part of my heart for Barrio 3 from
Barcelona. It feels like I've known these people for soooo long and
I've gotten to the point where I know a good amount of our ward by
name, to give you an idea it is a bit bigger than Upland 2nd Ward (my
Home Ward). The members here are all very sweet and our district
(which is all part of our ward) is really working on helping them get
involved in missionary work and help them really get excited about
this amazing work!
Several weeks ago we received a reference from church headquarters for
a man named Marcos. We finally went to visit him and we had the most
amazing visit with him. The spirit was soo strong and he really wants
to know if this church is Jesus Christ's church and if the Book of
Mormon is true, he also accepted a baptismal date for the 19th of
March!!!!! Finally a progressing investigator who lives in our area
hahaha! Too bad I'll be getting transferred in a week, but my
companion is a great Elder and I'm happy that he'll be able to help
him prepare to be baptized! We were sooo excited!!
I won't be able to email till next Tuesday because we have transfers
next week. I know that the Savior loves you all and he wants you all
to be happy! The way we can be happy is by keeping the commandments
(Mosiah 2:41). Have a great week and keep your fingers crossed to see
where I'll be serving for the next couple months!!!

Hey ya'll! Another great week in the greatest place in the whole wide
world! This week has been great, kind of hectic but great! I finally
got medicine to help with my migraines this week, and it's been pretty
good. I'll be on this medication everyday for the next 4 months so
hopefully it'll knock it out for good!
This week we have been working on finding because we had to pass off
all of our progressing investigators because we didn't know that they
didn't live in our area, oops! So yeah, it's been a little stressful
not having a huge teaching pool but we're progressing ourselves and
that's the most important part :)
To start the week off I start getting some pretty strong migraines on
Tuesday so I was in all day, then on Wednesday Elder Allen and I hit
the cobblestone hard and worked our butts off! So much so that my
companion, who had previously been a little sick, just got completely
drained of all physical strength and got super sick soooo he had to
stay in for Thursday and Friday(Fun fact about my companion is that
those were his first days EVER staying in sick from a day of
proselyting and he was not very happy about having to stay in-HE IS A
WORK HORSE!). Luckily I got to go out and work with another Elder in
my district on companion exchanges on Friday so yeah, this week has
been a lot of contacting in the streets and introducing my companion
to everyone in the ward because I should be getting transferred in two
weeks (Transfers are on the 8th of March).
I absolutely have come to love this ward, area and all the members
here! They are all soo great, and ready to help us with missionary
work! I'm honestly super sad to think about leaving Barrio 3 but it's
okay I'll go wherever the Lord needs me!
I hope all is well and that you all take advantage of opportunities
you will have this week to share the gospel with those around you! The
Lord loves you all and he also loves the rest of his children, he
wants us to share his gospel with all of his Children. There is such
great joy in missionary work! I've never been happier and more content
in my life!! I know that as we share the gospel our lives and the
lives of those whom we share it with are blessed too. I love you all
so much! Have a great week and talk to you soon

Hey! Hope everyone had an amazing Valentines Day, I learned that
Valentines Day is one of those days that as a missionary aren't the
greatest days.....especially being in Barcelona (one of the most
romantic cities in the world) soooo yeah that was a pretty awkward
day! I've never seen so many people kissing in one day, continually
through the day. But nevertheless this week has been good!
Elder Allen(my new companion) and I are getting along pretty well!
This week was really stressful for pretty much everyone in our
District, but it's all good. I'm grateful for weeks like this because
it just makes the better ones even greater! Elder Allen and I had some
good times to talk this week and get to know each other better,
because I started getting migraines again this week so we had to stay
in part of Tuesday and Wednesday so that was good!
We officially have passed out two investigators who had baptismal
dates, yesterday to the next ward over and we have been kind of
stressed about that but one our Muslim investigators, Sukina, who I
found my first week made a break through and is really starting to
progress.....BUT guess what?! She lives in that same area that we
passed our two other investigators to, so now all our people we were
teaching regularly are gone and it pretty much means we have to start
over from scratch, so fun stuff! But it'll all work out.
My Spanish is really improving! My mission started a new rule, where
on Sunday's we cannot speak any English for the whole day and it helps
so much! I feel like I've finally got to the point where I'm thinking
in Spanish and feel comfortable speaking. The Elders in my apartment
say that I talk in my sleep in Spanish haha! Elder Allen only has one
month more than I do in the mission so we both are pretty young but we
get around pretty well and I really don't feel too much different than
when I had a companion who had been out for a year, so yeah it's good!
The work is great, it's hard but the greatest thing I've ever done! I
know that this is the work of the Lord and that all we really do is
help people receive it, we may teach but the Holy Ghost is true
teacher and we contact and look for people, but only the people who
listen to us are just placed in our path by the Lord! This is his work
and my job is to do my all so that he can simply use me as a tool to
help bring his children into him. I love you all sooo much and hope
you all have a wonderful week!

How's it going?! Things are going pretty great out here! My new
companion, Elder Allen and I are getting used to things and so yeah
it's been good! This week we had a hard time finding news just because
not many people wanted to listen but it was still a good week! Elder
Allen is ALWAYS talking to people and it's super great and we like
mainly talk in Spanish so we're learning a TON! I've already learned
so much from being with him just this week, we're working hard and
getting better everyday.
This week was also a little frustrating because we have had two
"Golden Investigators" (an investigator who is super ready to receive
the gospel) and they BOTH lived just out side of our
area!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Soooooo frustrating ahhhhhh!!!!!!! They also both
had baptismal dates for this week and were progressing so fastly and
so excited to be baptized but now we have to move both, they also were
references from members so the members have been like yelling at us
and getting super mad and frustrated at us for having to pass him so
it's been kind of rough. So our investigators Jose "Pepito" and Juan
are both to start going to the same ward, but those missionaries over
there are really good and I have faith that those missionaries will do
a great job!
Other than that things are great, I'm learning Spanish more and more
daily. I'm starting to getting pretty used to missionary life and
living here in Spain. Our ward is great, the members help us so much.
We're being strictly obedient and doing everything we can to invite
others to come unto Christ! I love my Savior Jesus Christ with all my
heart and I know he loves me and each one of you. I know that as we
embrace his Gospel our lives we be greatly blessed and we will be able
to receive all the blessings our loving Heavenly Father is just
anxiously waiting to bestow upon us. I know that through the atonement
of Jesus Christ we can truly be cleaned of sin and guilt, so that at
the last day we can stand before God without shame. I love you all so
much and hope all is well! Adeu(Catalan for Adios)!
Con amor,
Elder Miller

Hey everyone! So I am staying in Barcelona and I'm soooo pumped!! My
companion Elder Byington is leaving to Lleida and I'm having my
"training broken" (a missionary term for the transfer right after your
training) by Elder Allen! He is a BOSS!!! I picked him up from the
train station this morning and we have been running around Barcelona
getting settled in. I can already see he's super dedicated and
obedient!
This week was super good, ALTHOUGH our baptism with Jose "Pepito" fell
through and it turns out he lives JUST outside of our area, so sadly
we have to pass him off to other missionaries and he won't be in our
ward anymore. But it's okay! We had a lot of going away activities for
a Sister missionary from our district named Sister Bastidas so on
Saturday yeah, then we spent most of Sunday and Monday meeting with
members for Elder Byington to say goodbye to.
Really this week was pretty slow. But it's been good and I'm super
excited to start working with Elder Allen. He has been out only one
transfer more than I have, but he seems EXTREMELY focused and things
should be really great!
I've made it a goal to testify of the Savior everyday, and do it often
and I've done it! I know that Jesus Christ is our Redeemer and only
through him we can return to our Father in Heaven. Love you all and
talk to you soon!
