Christmas

MERRY CHRISTMAS!! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!! Mine was
pretty swell!
This week not much really much happened because I was stuck in our
Piso due some migraines but I at least was able to go Caroling twice
throughout the week and celebrate Christmas!
My district went caroling and it was wonderful to spread some good ol'
Christmas Cheer! In the words of Buddy the Elf, "The best way to
spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear". We were able
to carol to some members of our ward and lots of them were very
touched and it was a very sweet experience to see these people's
reactions. There was one lady that invited us in to her little Piso
and as we sang she couldn't hold back her tears. That's what Christmas
is all about and I hope that you all were able to take part in making
someone's Christmas just a little bit more special! Love you all so
much! And happy late Christmas😄

Christmas week

Hey everyone! ¿Cómo estamos? This week has been great as always but a
little uneventful haha. I have been stuck in Piso for a lot of this
week with my sick companion! And let me say one thing, staying in piso
is not fun when you can't watch movies or listen to music, missionary
life is ALOT more fun when you are out working!
So to start off this week my companion couldn't get a doctors
appointment before our Zone Conference on Thursday so after we emailed
last week we went to the Hospital to get him checked out. We waited
for a while and got in the doctors and after waiting for like 2 hours
they say he's just got a normal respiratory flu, hahaha. But they tell
him he has to stay in Piso till Saturday! So we spent lots of time
reading the scriptures, sleeping, eating, sleeping and then eating
some more. Luckily my District Leader let me go on splits with the
other trainee in my District and that's always fun!! We were able to
teach some members, get lost and try to teach one of my investigators,
but he is pretty old and mumbles super bad so I couldn't really
understand anything he said, so we left him with a folleto and set up
another appointment.
Gosh missionary life is so great! Plus I got 6 packages!! And I know
you said not to open them, but one of them was already open and I saw
what it was! A GUITAR!! The Ayudantes (Assistants to the President)
were flipping out and so many people! So I got super excited and just
opened it, SORRY! It's sooooo nice, THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!
Hope everyone is getting excited for Christmas! I know I am and don't
forget to remember what this whole season is all really about.
Yesterday our District went Caroling to some members of our ward and
while we were singing "Noche de Luz" or Silent Night I was thinking of
my experience with Elizabethan Dinner and how much that song meant to
me then, but yesterday when we were singing it I realized that those
things are great but the service I was doing right then (and everyday
on my Mission) is what it's really about. Everything we have is thanks
to God and our loving Savior, I invite you all to think of how you can
give back to our Savior (see Matthew 25:40)in this time celebrating
his birth. Love you all! Hope you all have an AMAZING Christmas!!!
¡Espero que tengáis un feliz Navidad! ¡Os quiero mucho!!!

Week 5 Dec. 14, 2015

¡Hola todos! Wooohooo Christmas is coming up! How was ED(Elizabethan
Dinner)????? I want updates from anyone who was there or in choir!
This week was pretty jam packed! We had transfers on Tuesday and I'm
still in Barç 3 for the next 8 week transfer!! My companion was sick
this week and so from Wednesday-Saturday I was either going on
exchanges with one of the other Elders in my District who is being
trained too and yeah....that's been so fun! We have been covering both
of our areas, probably like a 3rd of Barcelona and it's been nuts!
Everything from missed trains, to getting yelled at in lessons by
Africans and setting baptismal dates! We honestly had so many miracles
just in the past few days, and I'm really starting to fall in love
with the work and missionary life.
This week we got a new district leader and he is super fired up and
ready to work! He challenged everyday for the next month to challenge
one person to baptism and to find one new investigator. Crazy huh? I'm
super pumped and Elder Winsor(the other trainee) and I have had the
opportunity to commit two people to baptism!!
One was the man who beso'ed me (by the way he's not gay, he was just
being friendly, the gay guy was the contact after that!) and he seems
very excited. He is a Catholic, Moroccan....a little strange haha. We
committed him on Saturday and then he came to our ward Christmas party
that night, he is loving the Book of Mormon and reading his copy in
Arabic.
Another one was a lady I invited at 9:57PM(we have to be in our
apartment at 10). We realized we had not invited to invite anyone to
be baptized that day and so we stopped right by the exit of the Metro
and tried to make contacts so we could invite someone to be baptized.
I tried like 5x but I just kept chickening out, finally Elder Winsor
said this is the last one and I contact her and ask her if she's
religious and she says "I don't understand you!" Then I ask her if she
has faith in Jesus Christ and she says very enthusiastically "Yes!"
So then I invite her to follow the example of Jesus Christ and be
baptized under proper priesthood authority and she says "Yes!" Or
"¡Sí!". I try to set a date with her and turns out she's going to back
to her home in Cuba but she said she would love to meet with us when
she gets back next month. MIRACLES!!!
I know that goal of one invitation to be baptized a day seems a little
number heavy, but when you think of what our purpose is as
missionaries is to "Invite others to come unto Christ" and the key
word in that is Invite! If we are not inviting others to act on their
faith we are not doing our job as missionaries. We are not there to
condemn or change people or convert, missionaries are there to invite!
I hope you all are getting excited for Christmas! I love you all so
much and I'll talk to you soon!
Con amor,
Elder Miller

Elder Miller

Hola amigos y familia! This week was definitely a INTERESTING week........haha but really really good! We have got the best numbers we have ever gotten this week, we found lots of investigators and taught about 30 lessons, 15-20 is a good week regularly. We worked hard and I really felt impressed that we needed to make the goal of finding 2 investigators a day and we just about got it! We worked our butts off to find people who are prepared, help them start progressing and ready for baptism!! During our Zone Focus this week the Zone Leaders challenged us to get one Baptismal Date by the end of this week (which we did!) and the mission wants a WHITE CHRISTMAS this month (as in each companionship in the mission gets one baptism in the month of December)! And we are pumped to help someone enter into the waters of baptism!!!
My Spanish is really starting to come along and I feel I'm getting close to being fluent! Sunday I was able to have full on conversations with members of the ward by myself and generally understand everything they said. The Gift of Tongues is totally real and I can feel such a huge difference in my Spanish when I have it and when I don't. Sometimes it gets frustrating but I've only been in the mission for about a month now so I'm getting better at not being too hard on myself about it.
So this week I had a pretty interesting experience with contacting. Well long story short, my trainer completely lost his voice and we had 3 hours of street contacting planned for the rest of our night, which meant I had to make all the contacts myself haha, so as you can see it was perfect storm of circumstances for a pretty great mission story haha. So we are contacting, well I am, and EVERYONE is shutting me down left and right, then some Arabic guy speaking in broken Spanish comes up to us and starting talking to us! He was super animated and actually invited us to his Catholic Church services, then he set up his OWN appointment with us before I could even ask him! As we said goodbye, he gave us awkwardly long and strong hugs, then he grabbed my face and kissed me!!! (It's Spanish tradition to greet people-typically a man and a woman or woman and a woman-with a kiss on each cheek) It was the traditional cheek kisses, but still it's weird when to be kissed by a man.....then I accidentally tracked to an old gay man. Who actually was hitting on us, that I TOTALLY misread the situation until he slowly said "ME GUSTA LOS HOMBRES!"  And he said he liked me and my companion, once I realized what was going on I got out of that conversation SO FAST! My trainer got a good laugh out of that, because it turns out the first thing he said to us was that he was gay and he thought we were sexy....so yeah, perfect timing for my companion to lose his voice but it was still funny!
I love this work and really feel like I'm starting to get into the swing of things. Waking up and exercising right away is a little tough, but it's really so great. Time just FLYS by out here! And I really am learning to love the members and people here. Hope all is well and hope all of you can check out the church Christmas website! ITS THE BOMB!!
I challenge all of you to think about what the world would be like without a Savior. There are lots of people who do not have the blessings of the Gospel or even the knowledge of our Savior, Jesus Christ, I hope all of you can find one person to share your testimony of the Savior with this Christmas season and your love for the Savior will grow so much! Love you all and hope all is well! ¡Os quiero muchísimo!

Thanksgiving week 3

Hola! I'm still alive out here!! This week has been very full of
experiences. To start off the week we had "intercambios" or exchanges
and I went with my District leader, Elder Jones, and he is just one of
the funniest guys ever! Contacting with him is something I'll NEVER
FORGET! Haha I think the highlight of our night was contacting an old
Catalan couple who he tonight about prophets and they started arguing
back and forth and while the wife was full on yelling at him calling
him a "MENTIROSO!!" He word for word asked them if they would follow
the example of Jesus Christ and be baptized, while she was still
yelling at him. Haha he is definitely something for sure haha!
I totally forgot thanksgiving was this week, but thankfully the
sisters in our ward had it under control! We ended up having a dual
district, Thanksgiving for lunch and then a Thanksgiving with some
members who lived in Florida for a couple years. The members made the
BEST stuffing I've ever had......(well at least in Spain haha), but it
was still pretty legit!
This week we began teaching a Muslim girl from Morocco who's name is
Sukina and she is GOLDEN! She has all the perfect questions, she is
reading the Book of Mormon and coming to church and wants to know. She
told us how much contacting into her was a miracle. When we were
walking by her that one day in the Metro station I just had a quick,
strong feeling to talk to her and so I approached her and we talked
for a little and gave her a Book of Mormon, got her number and left
not thinking much of it. BUT it turns out she had literally seconds
before we talked to her had been praying to have someone come into her
life to help her, and then we met! Amazing huh?! Such a tender mercy
from the Lord. There are truly so many prepared people out here and it
is the greatest feeling to just be an intruder to bring one soul unto
him. Just thinking about it right now makes me tear up, but I know God
loves his children and I'm getting better everyday at becoming a
better, more effective, harder working missionary to do his work.
I love you all and hope you know I'm very thankful for the times we
have had together, our relationships and just being able to know you
all! Most of all I am thankful for this Gospel and the blessing it is
to have a knowledge of the Plan of Salvation. Love you all so much!

Elder Miller

Week Two

Hola!!!! Well week 2 has been absolutely great, and I'm starting to
get over the culture shock haha. So this week we had a tri-zone
conference with Elder Christiansen from the Presidency of the Seventy
and Elder Dyches from the Europe Area Presidency and it was soooo
good! I got to sing in a choir that sang for the meeting and it wasn't
the best but not too bad haha. They are so amazing to hear and singing
in a huge group of missionaries is THE GREATEST THING EVER!!!!!!! I
could feel the Spirit sooo strong when we all sang together.
It's been pretty cold lately and I seemed to have caught a cold or
respiratory flu or something so we have to stay in piso (Apartments in
Spain) Thursday and it was nice to just relax a little, sleep and
watch church movies in Spanish hahaha. And just at the perfect time
one of my sweaters ripped, so now I'm down to one sweater and my huge
coat(which is fine!).
The work is starting to pick up a lot more and we have about 4-5 new
investigators just since I've got there. It's interesting to be a
missionary in Barcelona, I've definitely gained a testimony that there
are prepared people everywhere. There will be times where we will go
contacting for hours and people won't even look at us, and then other
times we will find people left and right. It's really strange! The
Catalan people really don't like us (because there is a bunch of
"Testigos" or Jehovah's Witnesses nearby so they all think we are
Testigos). People will cross the street to get away from us when they
see us walking down the road, but somehow this is the greatest thing
ever and I love it!!! I've really come to realization that life isn't
going to get any easier and there's always going to be hardships but
we just got to learn to love it and be grateful for what we do have!
My ward here, Barcelona 3 is pretty big, probably bigger than our ward
in Upland and the Elders quorum is like huge! The people are so nice
and sweet, they have been very patient with my slow Spanish or in
their words, "Castellano". This week in church I got called on to
answer something in Elders quorum and I just like froze while everyone
looked at me, and my trainer had to cover me for me haha. This week
was really so great! The work is hard, but so so sooo worth it. My
interesting story for the week is that we have three investigators
from Russia and since we have iPads we can get all the resources in
Gospel Library in Russian in like the snap of a finger! It's sooo
amazing what we can do with this technology. I also have two other
investigators I teach in English, which is sooo nice, but I like
Spanish better! ;p
Today we went into La Sagrada Familia and it's sooooo amazing! We got
in for free because we were a religious group and it's indescribable!
My mom will attach some of the pictures I took there but yeah, it is
IMMENSE! I had to take a video because a picture couldn't do it
justice. It's really strange and geometrical but very interesting!
¡Os quiero tanto!!!!

First week in Barcelona

¿Cómo estáis?! So if you haven't heard guess where I'm serving(insert
drum roll).................................…….............Barcelona
3rd Ward!!!! My area is right in the center of Barcelona and it's
sooooo beautiful! My ward building is the Barcelona Stake center and
it's the biggest church building in all of Europe! My trainer is Elder
Byington and he is from Santa Cruz, CA. He is such a funny and nice
guy, he has been out for 9 months and is amazing! He is very obedient,
actually this WHOLE mission is obedient, everyone is very on board
with the rules and strives to be obedient and faithful. My Spanish(or
"Castellano" as they call it here in Spain) seems to be pretty well,
my trainer says he thinks I'll be fluent in two months. His Spanish
isn't the best but it's okay, we are learning together! I push him and
we only speak English in the apartment, or if we need to review
something or if we're doing something in the chapel by ourselves. I
took a fluency test and it said I'm 58% fluent, I feel like I can
communicate pretty well and I just can't understand people who mumble
or talk really fast, but other than that it's really not too bad.
Missionary life is Pretty dang hard to be completely honest, actually
a lot harder than I thought it would be. I've had a couple rough days
but I know why I'm here and who I'm serving! (Prayers would greatly be
appreciated to help me adjust to mission life) Funny story, we email
from 17:00-19:00 and we had a lesson planned with a new investigator
at 19:00 but he showed up 30 minutes into our email time at the chapel
and so we taught him right then! He was super receptive and actually
seemed very excited about reading the Book of Mormon, it was a
MIRACLE! Missionary life can be kinda hard here in Europe, I can
probably count on two hands all the people that have stopped to talk
to us in the week of proselyting we have done BUT the ones who talked
to us were great! The worth of souls in great in the sight of God!
Even though it's hard here it's not impossible, we have three
investigators with baptismal dates and about 3 more progressing
investigators on the way and a couple new ones we found last week.
So today for Preparation Day(We aren't allowed to say P-day in this
mission) we went to a little amusement park thingy on a mountain
looking over Barcelona and it was amazing! There was a big Cathedral
up there too and it was sooooo beautiful! I'll attach some pictures. I
can't even put words into it, but the pictures will explain better
than I ever could! Love you all and I hope to hear from you guys soon!

First area and Trainer

Hola! Hey family, I made it to Barcelona safe and am in my first area
now!!! And guess where I am?(Insert dramatic pause and drum
roll)....................BARCELONA 3! My area is right in the center
of Barcelona and has the beaches too. Our building is the Stake Center
of the Barcelona Stake, the BIGGEST LDS church in all of Europe(I love
it here)! My trainer is amazing, I'll tell you more about him on
Monday but I'll attach a picture of us! I'm absolutely loving it here,
I know this is where I need to be and I can feel it and see it! ¡OS
QUIERO MUCHO!

PS My Spanish is coming along very well and I'm like actually able to contribute in our lessons pretty well!

Last week in Spain MTC

¡Hola! ¿Cómo estáis? Hey everyone, what´s up? I´m
ALMOST done with the MTC!!!! It´s crazy thinking that I´ll be in the
field on Tuesday! I am beyond excited to get out into the field and am
super excited/anxious to find out where I´m going to be serving. This
last p-day was sooooooo cool!! we went on a Tour of the Real Madrid
Stadium and it is HUGE, and super flippin cool(Even though Barcelona
is better). I attached some pictures below. We got to go on the field
and see all over the Stadium and I can put words into how cool it was.
Just so everyone knows, they don´t celebrate halloween in Spain, other
than some creepy guys dressed up by the entrance of the Metro(Subway)
that we saw on the way to the park. This week in the park was a little
bit rougher haha. My companion wasn´t super pumped to be out there and
we really didn´t have too much success, we handed out 3 Book of
Mormons but it was definitely a hard day. I won´t get too deep into
why, but just trust me it was tough! But oh well! The work still moves
on :) This week was fast Sunday and oh my gosh! Fasting as a
missionary in the MTC is amazing!!! Probably my most spiritual
experience in the MTC. We had this lesson that was amazing about why
missionary work isn´t easy and Elder Holland said(During this quote we
saw in a video, it was showing Christ in the Garden of Gethsamane and
on the cross) ¨"It´s not easy but it´s never been easy......Salvation
does not come cheap", I wish I could show you guys the video. But it´s
very true! Hopefully one of those people I tried to talk to will
remember what I said in my broken spanish and while my companion was
wandering off when I was talking tothem and decide to talk to the missionaries
or read the Book of Mormon we gave them or even just pray.(Haha my companion in the
park would like walk away when I was trying to make conatcts!) But I´m
greatful to be able to teach this wonderful message, even if people
make fun of me or yell at me in Spanish, I know this is His work, and
he loves all his children and I feel so priveleged to be able to a
representative for our Savior Jesus Christ! ¡OS AMO! (I love you
guys!) Next time I write I´ll be out in the field, AHHHH!!! Talk to
you all soon!     -Elder Miller

Week 4

Week 4 of MTC

Hey everyone! Things are going great out here. It´s pretty much been pretty similar to last week, haha well the MTC is all pretty much the same everyday. Study, comp study, grammar lesson, study, teach a lesson, eat, study, grammar, study, sports (which we played American football this week!!! And it was sooo fun!), shower, eat, study, teach a lesson, study, sleep, and then repeat! But somehow it´s one of the most amazing things I´ve done in my life. If this wasn´t His work I would be going crazy, there´s great strength in knowing that! We also find ways to have fun, and it´s funny how small of things MTC missionaries find to be so entertaining. I bought a ball at one of the little stores near by and I could swear no ball has been enjoyed as much as it has been in all of Spain. We play games during language study so we can take somewhat of a mental game, like we each have to say a different adjective in Spanish when the ball is passed to us and we try to do it really fast or other things like that to stay sane.
The Park this week was AMAZING, I got paired up with my zone leader, Elder Baron who is from Tustin, CA and we handed out 7 Book of Mormons!! A personal best for me and for him, actually I think it´s the highest out of everyone in the MTC for our group, which is cool but the part that I´m most happy about were the quality of the lesson or discusions we had. We taught a lot of students from America this week (some from Chicago and one from Texas). We could just see that they could feel the Spirit when we testified about the Book of Mormon, and that is one of the most amazing feelings ever to know that you just helped them feel the Spirit. In reality the Spirit is the teacher and we are just trying to help people feel it and recognize what it is and what it means when they feel it. Missionary work is the most satisfying thing I´ve done in my entire life.
So I´ve learned some tricks procyliting during my stay here and I wanna share these simple things I´ve learned that made all the difference in my Saturday Procylting experiences:
1. You sit down on the Metro(subway) and whenever someone comes on, you give them your seat then talk to them. People can really tell that you´re sincere when you are willing to serve them.
2. Let people know how the gospel applies in their life and how it can help them. (Spaniard´s tipically don´t like religion) But when you tell them that they can be more happy in life or live with their family, they are totally willing to listen! The Gospel is AMAZING and it can help ANY person
3. Talk to them and get to know them! We teach people not lessons and they can tell when we do. Every soul is worth SO much to our heavenly father we can´t even comprehend. He knows everyone personally, the least we can do as missionaries is know the people we teach or talk to personally and by name.
4. Love everyone and praise them if they already have a religion! Our message isn´t to disprove anything, it is to help others to come unto Christ and the way we do that is faith in Jesus, baptism, recieving the Holy Ghost and enduring to the end. If they already have a relationship with God that´s great!!! And we need to let them know that.
5. Lastly, just talk to EVERYONE. The worst thing we can do it shut our mouth, when you think about how Satan tried to stop Joseph Smith in the Sacred Grove, he tried to shut his mouth. Satan wants us to shut our mouth, DON´T  do it yourself!!! There are soooo many people that are waiting to hear this Gospel and are missing blessings and a better life everyday because we won´t open our mouths. Don´t be afraid, the worst they can say is no!
I love you all so much and hope all is well. God loves you and I can feel it just writing this email. I´m SOOOO pumped to be able to head out to the field pretty soon! I only have one week left in the MTC and I´ve been out a month now! Crazy huh?

Week 3 I love proselyting

¡HOLA! ¿Qué tal familía?
This week has been great!! It feels like I was just emailing you guys yesterday. Things are really starting to speed up around here, I finally understand the phrase "Days are weeks and weeks are days". We have had some crazy long days that have been physically and mentally tiring (more mentally from the endless classes) but they have been amazing! I´ve learned soo much and felt the spirit so strong. I actually got to go Proceliting in the Park this week and I LOVE PROCELITING!!!!!!! This week I got paired up with an Elder from England (Elder Robertson) and an elder from Ukraine (Elder Hryshanov), they´re bothing going to the Moscow Mission and currently are leaning Russian. We handed out 4 Book of Mormons, got 4 Referals for other missionaries to go and teach them (Most people don´t get any and the lucky ones get only one maybe 2), and made a bunch of contacts (an MTC contact is when we stop and talk to someone). I was able to talk to and teach TONS of people from all over the world. Some of the countries people were from that I taught were: Ecuador, Peru, Romania, Ukraine, Portugal, New Zealand and one Spanish lady on the train back. One of the people I talked to and taught was Susana María from Santo Domingo, Ecuador. We ran into her when we first walked into the park. She said it was a mirracle we came up to her and started talking to her because she had just started reading her bible maybe a minute or two before we walked over. She said it was a sign from God and she was super interested! We ended up having a 20 minute conversation(Which somehow I miraculously understood everything she said) and I was able to give her a Libro de Mormon and share Moroni´s promise in Moroni 10:4-5 with her. Missionary work is AMAZING!!!

This week I spoke in our MTC Sacrament meeting in Spanish! So in the Spain MTC we have a Sacrament meeting with the entire MTC (A whopping 60 missionaries) and throughout the whole week we are given a certain topic to write talks on. Everyone writes a talk and then after Sacrament the MTC President calls up 6 people to speak, so Sacrament meeting is always a pretty tense experience for the missionaries learning languages (we give the talks in the language we are learning). When we got to the meeting and somehow I knew that I was speaking, so it was no surprise when I got called up to Speak. The talk went really well (it was about Repentance) and I spoke about how repentance helps us become better day by day. Literally  when I got up to speak my heart was beating out of my chest but I did well and got lots of compliments on my talk and my Spanish, so I felt pretty good! We´ll have to see how I´m feeling about my Spanish in a couple weeks when I´m out in the field LOL

All is well here in España though! I´m back to 100% health, I´m sleeping well (which my district hates me for because they say my snoring is so loud) and my practice "investigators" are doing well. I´ve taught about 20+ lessons now in Spanish and me and my companion are starting to get into the swing of things.

This week I´ve really come to find out that this is truly a labor of love. We are all here because our Heavenly Father loves us and missionary work is fueled by love. If this love didn´t exist nothing would really matter and our lives would be pointless. Love needs to be at the center of everything we do and most importantly our love needs to be centered on our Savior Jesus Christ. When we love as he did our problems seem to fade away, our relationships with other become much more meaningful and life just seems to work out so much better! He is in every step of this work and he loves each one of you more than you could ever imagine! I know that he does and I love you all soooo much!!!
Con MUCHO amor,
Elder Miller

Week 2 letter

Hey everyone!! Well I made it another week out here in Spain! Literally Spain is probably the most amazing place in the world. The weather is PERFECT and the part of Madrid I toured last week was stunning! The MTC is really great and it´s right on temple grounds so I love being able to see the temple so much. We spend ALOT of time in the classroom but my distict (group I´m in) is really starting to focus and get down to business!! Here in the Madird CCM (MTC in Spanish) we teach "investigators"(our teacher pretending to be someone) throughtout the whole time and the people only speak spanish! By now I´ve taught somewhere around 8 lessons in Spanish and now I can teach without having to read straight from a pamphlet or book and it´s nice to be able to say what I wanna say for the most part lol. I got sick this weekend and didn´t get to go to the park, BUT I got to sleep and I have to say it was the GREATEST thing ever. One thing missionaries do not ever get enough of is sleep, I literally slept for 5ish hours during the day, after a semi-full night of sleep and then I slept the whole night after that haha! I can never get enough of that! Well looks like my time is up, but Í´m excited to write yo all next week!
Con mucho amor,
Elder Miller

The view from the MTC in Spain

Pictures

Austin preaching the gospel in the park with two Russian Elders

First letter from Spain MTC

Hola Todos! ¿Cómo estáis?
All is well here in the MTC or CCM! The days are long and nights are short but it´s great! We have about 10-11 hours of classes everyday and my district gets a little restless sometimes but we have fun and learn too! My companion is Elder Nye from Salt Lake and we get along great! My district has 6 guys including me and they´re a bunch of goofballs! Spain is amazing and all the building look exactly the same haha(There´s a picture of all the surrounding buildings below), well except for the temple! The whole MTC goes out proseliting to El Retiro Parque in Madrid and it´s pretty much the Central Park of Madrid! We also get paired up in random companionships for it and I got put with two Russian speaking Elders! Elder Voronin  and Elder Kharullin (they are actually teaching me russian!) we talked to a TON of people, handed out 5 Book of Mormons (one of which was a Russian one that they were able to teach)! The Lord is here in this work and we are literally getting thrown into the deep end of the pool to either sink or swim haha! But I´m not on my own out here! I´ve actually come to get Grandpa Ishii´s sleeping skills, my District says I fall asleep in a matter of 30 seconds to 2 minutes at night! We are about to go on a tour of Madrid so I gotta go I´ll write more next week!
Con mucho amor,
Elder Miller
